Feeding my childhood by josh-5410 Feeding my childhood by josh-5410
Here's something different! So this is something I've been doing for quite a while now, since 2004. I remember having an amazing imagination as a kid, and one of my fears back then was loosing it as I grew up. By all means, I have no where near as much creativity as I did back then as I do now, but redrawing this character every 2 years somewhat helps. His name is Chris, if I remember correctly, hehe ;)
It's also a cool way of seeing my improvements over time. I think back and I realize every time I had finished drawing one of these I would think to myself, There's no way I'm going to top this one! :D It goes to show that there is always room for improvement, I suppose.
The completion time of the latest one is 11 hours~

The first one--at the top-- is still much better than anything I can scribble.

You've made quite an amazing artistic journey, but I have to say that your latest leap is exponentially better than all the previous leaps combined. Yet, I can't underestimate the value and especially the effort that went into those and no doubt countless pieces across the years to get to this point. The improvement is overall, across many domains of technique, detail, proportions, and especially perspective. You're definitely taking it seriously and it's paying off big time.

So have a happy and wonderful new year... or two, actually, so I can see how you're doing in 2014. :)

You think so? It's funny because when I finished 2010 I remember thinking that I had reached my potential and that I could not get any better.. LOL. And a happy new year to you, too :D As for 2014, there's just NO way I could possibly top this one! ;) hehe

Yeah, my organics still look pre-'04. I'll stick to drawing buildings.

lol :D I know that feel; I don't really enjoy drawing people as much as buildings and landscapes, to be honest. heh

There is not a level of sarcasm extreme enough to reply to this with, let alone one conveyable in text. If you want a profession that gets ladies, think of something popular that you can do alone. Like, say, music. Even if something I build one day gets all the women excited, there's another twelve guys on the team too.

LOOL really? Huh, if you say so, haha. I guess my perspective on architects was distorted by How I Met Your Mother. Hey, it's a popular show, so maybe everyone else thinks that way too :D Walk up to a girl at a bar, look them dead in the eye and say "hey, I'm and architect." It might work!
